DEPEND

I dag har jag sett två nya nagellack som jag är jättesugen och jättespänd på att testa. Depend Rough Sparkle och Depend Mirage Collection. Det första, Rough Sparkle, är ett struktur lack som är ungefär samma som t.ex. Isa Dora Sugar Crush eller OPI's Liquid Sand (har ett Isa Dora lack som jag inte testat än men det kommer). Anledningen till att jag vill testa Depend's variant är färgerna, och att Depend, enligt mig, är det bästa budgetmärket när det kommer till nagellack. ♥

Mirage kollektionen däremot (tror att det var den i alla fall, såg någon ny kollektion på Kicks i dag, får kolla upp det), var någon form av holografiskt lack som ändrade färg beroende på vilket ljus man vistas i. Planerar att köpa båda lacken inom en snar framtid och testa. Återkommer med uppdatering när jag vet mer/har testat. ☺

TIPS

Snart är det höst på riktigt! Så jag tänkte tipsa om ett superfint nagellack som jag hittat (har dock inte köpt eller testat detta själv än men jag har planer på att göra det så fort jag fått ordning på nytt jobb och sånt). 

Maybelline ColoRama Burgundy Kiss. 39 riksdaler kostar det. Sjukt fin färg, jag är kär! ♥

// Since it's gonna be fall for real fairly soon I thought I'd share this beautiful nailpolish color with you (I haven't actually bought it or tried it yet, but I will once I've gotten my life on track with a new job since I'm working my last day with my brother on August 30th). Maybelline ColoRama Burgundy Kiss. It costs 39 sek (€4,28), and the color looks amazing. I'm in love with it! ♥

ACCENT FINGER

I dag har jag tagit mig tid att måla om naglarna. Tårna fick bli en fin rosa och på händerna körde jag med ett s.k. "accent finger" på ringfingret. Så ringfingrarna fick bli silver-glittriga. Kan inte bestämma mig om jag tycker om det eller inte, men jag fyller ju faktiskt år på torsdag så det får agera "födelsedagsnaglar" tills jag bestämt om jag tyckte det var fint eller inte. ☺ (orkade inte fixa runt nagelbanden där jag målade utanför men det kan vi leva med)

TREDJE FÖRSÖKET MED MAVALA JAIPUR

I går kväll så gjorde jag ett tredje försök med Mavala lacket i färger Jaipur. Och det gick faktiskt mycket bättre den här gången. Tricket var att se till att ha tillräckligt mycket lack på penseln för att det skulle spridas jämnt och fint över nageln. Det var fortfarande knepigt men resultatet blev ändå mycket bättre än de senaste två gångerna jag försökt mig på det här så jag är rätt nöjd ändå. ☺ Och färgen är ju så himla fin. ♥

// Last night I decided to give the Mavala polish Jaipur one last shot. And it actually turned out a lot better this time. The trick was to have enough polish on the brush to spread the polish evenly across the nail. It was still quite tricky but the result was still a lot better than the last two times I tried it, so I'm still quite pleased. ☺ And the color is so pretty. ♥

GELLACK I MITT HJÄRTA

Jag kan inte komma över hur bra och fantastiskt gellack är på alla plan. Det är snyggt, högglansigt och sitter (om man har tur och inte använder händerna så mycket) i flera veckor! ♥ Det är så fruktansvärt bra. Lätt mitt bästa köp inom skönhetsområdet. ☺
Dessutom, när man får till så svinsnygg form på naglarna (själv dessutom!!) som jag fick sist så blir det ju bara tusen gånger bättre.

Also, when you manage (on your own!!) to get the absolutely perfect nail shape, like I did last night, just adds to the amazingness. ☺

ATT SPÄDA UT LACKET FUNKADE TYVÄRR INTE

I går kväll satt jag och målade naglarna och tänkte att jag skulle testa att späda ut Mavalas lack Jaipur eftersom det blev randigt sist jag målade. Tyvärr gav det inte alls det resultat jag hoppats på. Det gjorde nästan ingen skillnad alls faktiskt. Så jag valde ett annat lack i stället. Trist men så är det.

// Last night I decided to spend some time painting my nails and decided to try and dilute the Mavala polish that I tried last time (the color's called Jaipur) since it didn't cover well and left streaks. Unfortunately it didn't quite turn out the way I'd hoped for. Actually it didn't really help at all. So I went for a different polish all together. Shame, cuz I liked that color a lot.

MAVALA NAGELLACK

För ett tag sedan så köpte jag ett nytt nagellack som jag blev totalt tokkär i när jag såg det. Färgen Jaipur från Mavala. En jättefin orange färg som jag bara inte kunde låta bli. Men när jag kom hem och testade lacket så blev jag besviken, någonting (gammalt lack som stått för länge i butiken? Taskig borste?) gjorde att det blev fula ränder i lacket. Jättetrist eftersom färgen var så himla fin! ♥ Ska testa att späda ut lacket med lite remover och se i fall det ändrar konsistensen någonting. Återkommer när jag testat!

About a week ago I bought this new polish that I fell completely in love with when I saw it. The color Jaipur from Mavala. A beautiful orange color that I just couldn't resist. But when I got home and tried it I was a bit disappointed. Something (maybe the polish was a bit old and hade been in store too long? Maybe the brush was bad?) made streaks in my beautiful polish! This was not what I'd expected since their polishes usually are really good. And I love the color so much! ♥ I'm gonna try to dilute it a bit with some remover to see if that changes the texture at all. I'll report back once I've done that.

NEWS & TIPS

Om du läst min personliga blogg så vet du att min farmor somnade in natten till onsdag, och att all väntan, stress och oro har gått över. Nu behöver hon inte lida mer och vi slipper må dåligt för att hon har ont och lider.
Nu kommer livet återgå till något relativt normalt och jag hoppas kunna engagera mig lite mer i den här bloggen också.

Och eftersom jag ska ta upp den här bloggen igen så ville jag passa på att ge ett tips! ☺ En grej som jag inte klarar mig utan när det kommer till nagelvård är min nagelbandskniv. Min gamla har precis gått sönder och jag har letat febrilt i affärer efter en ny men utan att hitta någon. Tills i dag. Hittade en på Fyndiq.se för ynka 19:- ☺ Jag var i extas!! Dock så går frakten på ca. 40:- så köp gärna något annat också för att det ska vara värt det (jag köpte ett läderkoppel till hunden också t.ex).

If you've read my personal blog you'll know that my grandmother passed away around 2am on tuesday night, and that all the waiting and worrying is over. Now we won't have to worry about her not feeling well and that she's in pain. So I'm hoping that I can start getting back on track with this blog now (thank you for being patient). 

And since I'm wanting to get started as soon as possible on this blog, I wanted to share a lil' tip with you. Something that I really can't do without when it comes to my nails is a cuticle remover-knife (not sure if that's what it's really called but click on this link for an image). My old one recently broke and I've been looking around like crazy for a new one in every shop I can think of. And today I found one! I was so excited. They sell them on a swedish webshop called fyndiq.se for only 19 SEK (approx. €2). Unfortunately their shipping cost is around 40 SEK so be sure to buy something else as well for the shipping to be worth it (I, for example, bought a new lead for my dog).

RUSK BEING SEXY

I går testade jag för första gången shampot, balsamet och håroljan från RUSK som jag beställde från Head Spot's hemsida för någon vecka sen. Och jag blev extremt glad över hur bra de funkade!! Mitt hår har aldrig varit mjukare! ♥ Jag är helt såld, och kommer nog inte vilja byta hårprodukter på ett tag framöver.

So yesterday I decided to try the shampoo, conditioner and oil treatment from RUSK that I ordered about a week back. And I was so pleasently surprised! My hair has never been softer! ♥ I don't think I wanna change hair products for a while now.

JUST IN

Jag bestämde mig för att testa det sulfatfria schampot och balsamet från RUSK i hopp om att det ska rädda mitt torra och frissiga hår. Balsammetoden handlar ju mycket om att ta bort alla produkter som innehåller sulfater eftersom det sliter på håret, och jag som kämpar som ett djur med att få mitt hår att växa och bli långt hoppas ju verkligen på att dessa produkter från RUSK är lika bra som jag tror. ☺

I decided to try the sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner from RUSK, hoping that it will save my dry and bittle hair. There's a method that became quite popular in Sweden this past year, in translates into "the conditioner method" which basically builds on the fact that you stop using hair products that contain sulfate since that's bad for your hair. And I'm really hoping, since I really want my hair to grow long, that these products are as great as I've come to think they are.

A ENGLAND - TESS D'UBERVILLES

Detta nagellack var först ut av mina nagellack som jag beställde från USA. Den har en superfin mörkgrön färg som skimrar som bara den i rätt ljus (detta var dock svårt att fånga på bild). Himla fina var det i alla fall. ♥ Konsistensen var precis lagom flytande, men som med de flesta lack så behövdes det två lager för att det skulle bli riktigt fint.

This was the first polish I tried from those that I ordered from America. It has a really great dark green color with amazing shimmer (the shimmer didn't really transfer in the picture though). It's one amazing nailpolish though. ♥ The texture was just thick enough, but as with most polishes I needed two coats for it to look it's best. 

MINA NAGELLACK FRÅN USA HAR KOMMIT

Yes gott folk, paketet har anlänt! Hittade avin i brevlådan när jag kom hem. Ska ner och hämta paketet i morgon tänkte jag. ☺ Det kommer bilder och grejer jag lovar!

Yes people, the package has arrived! I found a note in my mailbox when I got home that I can collect the package. I'm gonna go get it tomorrow afternoon. ☺ I promise to post pictures as soon as I can! 

LÅG UPPDATERING

Ledsen för den låga uppdateringen som är på den här bloggen just nu. Den som följer min "privata" blogg vet att min farmor blivit dålig och att jag åkte till Kalmar över helgen för att hälsa på henne så jag har inte känt mig så väldigt motiverad att driva en "skönhetsblogg" när det finns viktigare saker att ta hand om.

Nagellacken som jag köpte från Llarowe strax innan månadsskiftet befinner sig fortfarande i Los Angeles... Men så fort de har kommit fram så har jag lite nya lack att testa. ☺ Ska dessutom spika upp en nagellackshylla hade jag tänkt (ska köpa en vid nästa lön), så det kommer att hända grejer ni får bara ha lite tålamod med mig under tiden.

Om man är intresserad av mitt liv så kan man ju alltid följa min andra blogg. ☺

I'm sorry about the low updating that's goin on in here right now. Anyone following my personal blog knows that my grandmother just recently became more ill, so I went down to Kalmar to see her over this past weekend. I haven't really had any inspiration to keep a "beauty blog" running while there are more important things going on.

The polishes that I ordered from Llarowe a while back are still in Los Angeles, but once they get here I'll have a few new polishes to test out and write about. ☺ I'm also planning on putting up a nailpolish-rack on my wall next month (I'm planning on buying that when I next get my sallary), so there are things headed this way soon, just be patient while waiting. ☺

RUSK BEING SEXY

Loggade precis in på facebook och möttes av en ny produkt: sulfatfritt schampo och balsam (+ olja och någon form av "soothing creme") från ett märke som heter RUSK. Blev såklart nyfiken på det eftersom jag vill få mitt hår att växa och bli så långt som möjligt utan dyra extensions. Känner att det kanske inte är läge att köpa det just nu, men kanske till nästa lön? Finns det någon som testat/hört talas om märket och produkterna innan? Bra/dåligt? Kommentera gärna! Vill verkligen veta om det är lika bra som det låter! ☺

So I just went on facebook and saw this new product I've never heard of before; sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner from a brand called RUSK. Of course I'm curious now since I want my hair to be as long as possible without expensive extensions. Now's not the best time for me to buy these things, but maybe when I get my next pay check.
Is there anyone who's tried or heard of these products before? Are they good or bad? If so, please comment cuz I'm dying to know if it's as good as it sounds! ☺

MINA LACK ÄR I LA

Mina nagellack från Llarowe är på ingång! Just nu befinner de sig i LA (lyllos nagellack säger jag!), men förhoppningsvis så går det fort när de landat i Europa. ☺

My polishes from Llarowe are on their way! Right now they're in LA (lucky polishes), but hopefully it'll be delivered pretty fast once they hit Europe. ☺

STATISTIK

Det här med statistik på bloggar tycker jag är både intressant och roligt. Särskilt när jag kikade in i dag på statistiken för att jag blev nyfiken på var i världen folk befinner sig. Det är ingen fantastisk statistik, men att det finns en liten skara människor från USA som läst min lilla nystartade "beauty"-blogg var ju himla mysigt och jag fick en sån där varm och gosig känsla. Så tack så mycket! ♥

There's something about statistics on blogs that I find quite interesting and fun. Especially when I decided to check my own statistics today, I was curious about where people are from who read this blog. I don't have amazing statistics right now, but the fact that there are a few people from America that have found (and hopefully read) my tiny lil' blog about beauty and nailpolish made me really excited. I got this really happy, fuzzy feeling. Thank you! ♥

KICKS BB-CREAM BRUSH

I går var jag nere på stan och köpte lite nya sminkprodukter (för att se vilka det var, klicka här), bland dessa produkter fanns en sminkborste från Kicks - närmare bestämt deras BB-Cream Brush.
Kände att jag behövde tala om hur fantastiskt jävla bra den här borsten är! ♥ Jag hade höga förhoppningar om den här lilla smidiga och fasta borsten med platta strån, och den levde upp till varenda en.

Det är ganska lätt att man får ränder i sin foundation med en vanlig foundationborste, men med den här blev det inga ränder över huvud taget! Jag är så himla nöjd! ☺Dessutom kostar den bara 129kr.

So yesterday I bought some new makeup/beauty products (to find out what I bought, click here), amongst these things was a brush from Swedish brand Kicks - their BB-Cream Brush to be exact. I felt like I needed to tell you just how amazing this brush is! ♥ I had very high expectations of this small brush with flat bristles, and I have to say that it lived up to every single one of those expectations. 

When you use a regular foundation brush you may have noticed that you can easily get streaks in your makeup, but with this brush I didn't get any streaks at all! I'm so pleased! ☺ And like that wasn't enough, it comes at the very cheap price of 129sek (approx €10).

OH DEAR GOD, SAVE ME

Jag har uppenbarligen problem. Nagellack är mitt största problem tror jag, och det var väldigt längesen jag köpte ett nytt lack, så när jag gick in på Llarowe och klickade runt på reavaror så kunde jag tydligen inte hålla fingrarna i styr...

I clearly have issues. Nailpolishes are my biggest addiction, and it's been quite a while since I bought myself a new polish. So just now when I was looking through Llarowe's website and their items on sale, I clearly couldn't help myself...

D.I.Y. GELPOLISH

Okej, så här kommer min lilla tutorial som jag utlovade innan helgen! ☺

Ok, so here's the tutorial that I promised to post before the weekend! ☺

1) Vad man behöver för att ta bort gammalt gellack. Bomullsrondeller, aceton och aluminium folie (man kan köpa speciell "remover" till gellack men jag anser att det är dyrt och onödigt). 

2) Dränk bomullen i aceton, lägg på nageln och rulla aluminiumfolie runt fingret. 

3) Låt verka i ca. 15 min. tills nagellacket släppt och går att skrapa av (tog tyvärr inga bilder på detta). 

1) What you need to get rid of old gelpolish, cotton, acetone and aluminium foil (you can buy special "gelpolish remover" but I find that both expensive and unnecessary). 

2) Soak the cotton in acetone and wrap the aluminium foil tightly around each finger. 

3) Let soak for about 15 mins. or until the gelpolish has lifted from your nail and is ready to be scraped off. 

4) Jag använder alltid "cuticle remover" innan jag målar naglarna för att få bort torra nagelband (detta får också naglarna att se längre ut). Stryker på ett lager runt nagelbanden och skrapar bort överflödig hud med det lilla verktyget på bilden (vet inte vad det kallas). 

5) Blöt en bit bomull/non woven swabs med "före/efter rengöring" och stryk på naglarna (tog ingen bild på detta). Börja med ett lager baslack. 

6) Låt härda i LED-lampan i 1min (det står 30sek på boxen men jag tyckte att en minut fungerade bättre). 

7) Gör tummen för sig. 

4) I always use cuticle remover before I paint my nails in order to get rid of dry cuticles (this will also make your nails look longer). 

5) Soak a piece of cotton/non woven swabs with "before/after cleaner" and clean your nail (I didn't get a picture of this). Start with one coat of basecoat polish.

6) Let it harden under the LED-light. 

7) Do your thumb separately.

8) Välj vilken färg du vill ha, i mitt fall Orly's "kiss the bride". Måla ett tunt lager. 

9) Låt härda i lampan.

10) Gör tummen separat. 

→ Gör om dessa steg en eller två gånger till så att du får två eller tre lager med önskad färg. 

8) Choose your color, in my case Orly's "kiss the bride". Paint one thin coat. 

9) Let harden under the light. 

10) Do your thumb separately. 

→ Do these steps one or two more times so that you have two or three coats of colored polish. 

11) Måla ett lager topplack, härda under lampan (som i tidigare steg, gör tummen separat). 

12) Torka av naglarna med "före/efter rengöring" och , voilà! Klart! Och manikyren håller i 2-3 veckor. ☺

11) Paint one coat of tipcoat polish, harden under the light (as in previous steps, do your thumb separately). 

12) Clean your nails with the "before/after cleaner" and voilà! You're done. Your manicure will las 2-3 weeks. ☺

I kväll tänkte jag fota lite medan jag målar om naglarna och göra en liten "tutorial" på det. Så håll utkik, kommer i kväll eller i morgon. ☺

NAGELLACKSHYLLA

Något som jag velat ha väldigt länge, och dessutom haft som mål nu när jag bor själv, är en nagellackshylla. När jag letat på andra bloggar om var man kan få tag på en så har de flesta sagt ebay och att det är väldigt svårt att få tag på i Sverige.
Men frukta ej kära vänner! Jag har hittat en svensk sida som säljer nagellackshyllor! ☺
De heter Fairy Nails och har massor av roliga saker för alla nagellacksälskare. Tror minsann att jag ska köpa mig en hylla vid nästa lön.

Something that I've wanted for quite some time, and that kind of became a goal of mine to own once I moved to a place of my own, is a nailpolish rack. I've searched google and other blogs for where you can find one, most people have suggested ebay and said that it's hard to find a webstore that ships to Sweden. But fear not because I've found a Swedish website that sells them!  They're called Fairy Nails and have a bunch of fun stuff for any nailpolish lover. I think I'm gonna buy one when I get my next pay check.

VÄLKOMMEN

I går kväll bad jag en kompis om hjälp med en slogan till min andra blogg (nenaispigeon.blogspot.se), något som skulle reflektera mig, han kom på "50 Shades of Nailpolish". "Fantastiskt!" tänkte jag men insåg snabbt att det inte passar på en personlig blogg.

Jag äger just nu över 70st nagellack i olika färger och märken, så varför inte starta en blogg till om min passion för nagellack? Jag googlade snabbt om någon annan redan tagit detta fantastiska bloggnamn, vilket det verkade som att ingen hade. Och så föddes den här bloggen! ☺

Last night I asked a friend for help with a slogan for my other blog (nenaispigeon.blogspot.se), a slogan that should reflect me as a person and things I like. He came up with "50 Shades of Nailpolish". I thought that was great but didn't really work for a personal blog. 

I currently own about 70 different nailpolishes, so I thought: "why not start another blog about my love for nailpolish?". So I googled if anyone else had a blog with that name, which it turned out that no one had. And that's how this blog was born! ☺
